Welcome to my website!

My first experience making a website was when doing the Cloud Resume Challenge (which I actually hosted under this domain) but admittedly it looked very poor. I figured that since I already have a domain, I might as well just get rid of the challenge and put in something that might benefit me more in the long term.

Originally I was going to just use WordPress like a lot of people do. However, it made more sense to go for something more ‘modern’ let’s say, hence I ended up going with Hugo, which you probably could tell after seeing the bottom of the website. It took some tweaking and adjustments of the theme, but I’m happy to say that it is now functional and ready for some crazy articles!

If someone reads this and thinks to themselves “damn I wish I had a blog!” - just do it! Even if you don’t post often (or at all), the process of purchasing a domain and plugging it into your CDN of choice itself is very rewarding. And don’t even get me started on adjusting your theme AND it actually looking how you want it to look. Nothing more satisfying than making successful code changes.

The main goal I had in mind when deploying this website is to maybe just share some stuff that I get up to on a daily basis - be it at my sysadmin dayjob or just some tinkering I get up to at home. Doesn’t matter if it benefits anyone. Doesn’t matter if it even gets seen by anyone. The key with this is to just have some extra fun (and use this as a form of notetaking!)
